For the German-speakers out there PHP-Center has some statistics on PHP. They are most likely not the result of a scientific study, but they are pretty funny nonetheless!

For those of you who don't speak German, here is a tanslation:

Functions:

• 1647 PHP functions total
• 150 of which are familiar
• 50 of which are used
• 30 of which are memorized including all parameters without looking them up

The worst PHP Functions:

• crash()
• leak()
• trigger_error()

Extensions that no one knows what they do:

• ext/yaz
• ext/ovrimos
• ext/ccvs

Functions that have never been used:

• socketpair()
• assert()
• dtd()
