Michelangelo van Dam has posted his summary of the recent BugHuntDay that happened in Roosendaal (the Netherlands) this past weekend:

Bughuntday is a whole day developers can come together to start fixing bugs for open-source frameworks and libraries. This Saturday we started these series with Zend Framework, a hugely adopted PHP framework within enterprise and professional web application development.

He also includes the slides from the presentation and a video of Jurien Stutterheim's talk introducing everyone to testing and the Zend Framework. There's pictures of the event on Flickr too.

Michael Girouard has a new post (complete with slides about the PHP and Ajax presentation he gave at a recent New York PHP user group meeting, "Ajax for PHP Developers".

It felt a little strange presenting a JavaScript topic to a bunch of PHP developers, but I made it come back to PHP by demonstrating a the latest Panda PHP package which is only in incubation at the moment.

If you weren't able to make it to yesterday's webinar from Zend and the Dojo group about their partnership, Matthew Weier O'Phinney is ready to hook you up with all of the details they presented.

We had our Zend Framework/Dojo integration QA today. Aside from some connectivity issues at the beginning of the presentation, things went smoothly, and there were some good questions.

He's made the slides both available for download directly and as a slideshow on Slideshare. He doesn't mention when the recording of the webinar will be out, but it shouldn't be too far off.

From the GNUCitizen blog, there's a new post about a recent meeting (of the OWASP London Chapter) where several presentations were given on methods for exploiting PHP applications. The three talks given were:

• Rodrigo Marcos - hacking PHP sockets for fun and profit
• David Kierznowski - exploitation techniques using real world examples
• Colin Watson - talk about security badges

The Zend Developer Zone has posted the slides from two presentations that Wil Sinclair (of the Zend Framework team) has given at two different conferences lately - SD West and a San Francisco Meetup.

Wil Sinclair has been a busy man of late. In addition to getting ready for the 1.5 release of Zend Framework and recording a podcast with me, he has taken the time to present 2 different presentations on Zend Framework.

The presentation from SD West was titled Web 2.0: Building Rich Internet Applications with PHP and the one presented to the Meetup group, Zend Framework 1.5 Latest Features

Congratulations to John Coggeshall on having his Zend_Service_Slideshare component accepted into the Zend Framework incubator.

What's the component? If you haven't seen it before, Slideshare.net is an excellent site for hosting various Powerpoint slide shows for public consumption (think YouTube for slide shows). I wrote the component during the my site redesign to host my various slide shows which can be found in the resources section.

If you'd like to get your hands on it and play with it before the official release, you can always grab it from the Subversion repository for the ZF project.
